About Dr. Linda Baker

In Philadelphia, she completed her pediatric internship and residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and a fellowship in Ambulatory Pediatrics at Einstein Hospital. Dr. Baker subsequently practiced with the Chestnut Hill Pediatric Group for twenty years, also serving as Chairman of the Pediatric Department at Chestnut Hill Hospital for five of those years.

During these years, Dr. Baker began to see the limitations of conventional medicine and actively explored a variety of holistic healing modalities both for her patients and for her own and her family's health. She loved working with children and their families but yearned to find therapies that were safer and more effective than prescribing synthetic drugs.

In recent years Dr. Baker has expanded her practice after pursuing advanced training in a variety of disciplines. She studied Classical Homeopathy for four years at Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy and attended a number of seminars with internationally renowned homeopaths.

She studied Herbal Medicine for two years with David Winston's Herbal Studies Program. She has attended the Defeat Autism Now! physicians' training programs and learned "Brain Therapy" (a form of craniosacral therapy) from Dr. Barry Gillespie. Dr. Baker has also had training in Functional Medicine and Body Talk. She has been a Reiki Master since 1999 and teaches Reiki classes.

Dr. Baker and her husband, a teacher, have two young adult children. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, yoga, gardening, cooking and knitting as well as traveling whenever she has the opportunity. She has traveled with the Family Hope Center to do holistic treatments for special needs children in a variety of countries around the world.
